Rubber Stamps for Office Use

16 Jul, 2010

Stamps are “bear necessity” in the office and very useful for personal usage.

The key word to describe the product and its necessity is “Saving”.

Sometime I wonder when I hear people say that they avoided ordering stamps because of its price.

I know that it’s not right to judge people for the way they spend their money. What’s “expensive” to one can be “cheap” to another, and the other way round. So the question might not be whether rubber stamps are expensive or not but are they worthy? Do they justify spending money purchasing them?

I believe they do! I ordered a rubber stamp 20 years ago, when I was a school teacher, and it’s still with me, still functioning, still working, and still usable. 20 years of serving my needs means only one thing: my rubber stamp proved itself worthy and the 16$ it cost me worked fine for 80 cents a year.

A stamp is a device which is made for minting a short massage on a written able surface, mostly on paper, but not only. The common use is to mint repeating constant information on predictable, and mostly unpredictable occasions. We wouldn’t need a stamp when it comes to everyday routine prepared in advance purposes. In such cases we can order printed materials: envelopes, forms, letterheads and other stationeries.

The unpredictable improvised cases, when stamps are the right solution, can be such as:

1. You have to send a letter and you are not in your office, you don’t have a printed envelope within reach. You pull your rubber stamp out of your pocket and mark the naked envelope with your details and “Logo” clean and fast.

2. You came to visit your employees on their outdoors working site. Instantly they need some kind of a formal authorization for something. They improvise paper sheets and write down what ever they have to. You make these improvised notes formal by using your rubber stamp, which is always handy.

3. You are an exhibition curator and one of your responsibilities is to mark masterpieces which were sold. Coming visitors will know that this or that piece of art is already sold.

There are stamps with changeable data, especially sequential data like dates or serial numbers. Such stamps increase the reliability of the information which us minted by it.

There were times when stamps were made of two devices: the stamp itself and the ink pad. It was really inconvenient to carry them both around; the ink was drying out fast and using the whole combination seldom left ink stains on your hands and all around you. Today rubber stamps are packed in a sealed small plastic device and can be used again and again without ink refilling for years and no stains at all. Such stamps can be carried around even in your shirt pocket, clean and neat, ready to be used.

People ask me whether stamps can replace business cards. Technically speaking the answer is yes. One can order a stamp with the exact same information he has on his business card. If you want to save money it is possible. But the business cards of today are colorful and graphically designed so beautifully that you can’t compare them with single colored poorly designed stamps.

Order yourself a rubber stamp and enjoy using it.

Lung Transplant Lawyer

Lung Transplant Information & Defective Respirator Lawyers

Many United States workers have manual labor jobs that require them to work in coal mines and other areas that require the use of dust respirators or masks. These masks help protect their lungs from harmful particles of dust in the air. These devices are supposed to purify the air, as workers inhale creating clean air for breathing. Since the late 1930’s respirators have been manufactured in the United States. Manufacturers of these divices include Mine Safety Appliances Company, 3M, Welsh-Norton, Moldex and a plethora of others.

Unfortunately, many types of respirators used by coal miners and asbestos workers are unsafe and have leaked harmful dust into the workers’ lungs. As a result of these defective respirators, workers have contracted many major medical illnesses such as mesothelioma, silicosis and black lung disease. These illnesses force the workers to undergo very complicated medical procedures such as lunch transplants as well as other major surgeries.

Lung transplant surgery is required to replace one, or both of the diseased lungs with healthy lungs from an organ donor. Because these procedures are becoming more and more common, the success rate is going up substantially. In 2004, around 1,200 patients received lung transplants and the number is on the rise for 2006. However, due to the overwhelming demand, and lack of supply for this procedure, many Americans are unable to get their operations.

The lung transplant procedure is generally the last resort for patients with chronic lung disease. Many times the reason that patients need these operations is because they have been using a defective respirator for far too long. These problems are categorized as ‘obstructive’ or ‘restrictive’ which relates to the volume of air the lungs can hold. Obstructive is when there’s a decrease in exhaled air flow, while Restrictive means a decrease in the total volume of air that the lungs can hold. Complications may also arise from these conditions which often times result in a lung transplant.

Victims of ailments such as silicosis, asbestosis and black lung often find it difficult to understand who’s at fault. Occupational injuries such as broken bones, burns, and cuts are easily recognized, but long term injuries such as lung disease are harder to pinpoint. The real tragedy is that many times these diseases were contracted after long hours of work with defective respirators. In many cases manufacturers of these respirators should be held liable for their negligence.

If you or someone you love has been affected by a respirator device that has leaked toxins then you need to seek a lawyer right away. A qualified lawyer can help you understand your legal rights and receive compensation for your injuries.

Need a Lawyer?

29 Jun, 2010

Obtaining a lawyer is a funny thing. Everybody has a lawyer, but no one admits to needing a lawyer. Attorneys for any type of case you, or your friend, might need, are not hard to find. A simple search on the internet will show a wide variety of criminal and civil lawyers. The key is to find a good attorney who will put your case first and handle it aggressively for an acceptable outcome. And you need to obtain one in your state because if a crime has been committed, the lawyer needs to be current on the individual state laws and statutes concerning it. A lawyer from another state would not be familiar with another states’ laws. And, keep in mind, you cannot be convicted of a crime that has not been identified and/or is not in the statutes, so the attorney must be up on those.

Though it is not against the law for you to try your own cases, in most cases, it is necessary to obtain a lawyer. Your attorney must be up-to-date on your charges and any changes that the courts present. To find legal services that are aggressive, informative and knowledgeable for your case, here are some main points to consider:

1) Find out how long they have been practicing law. This will give you an idea as to their familiarity with state laws, courthouses, and the judges. Very Important.
2) See if they are Board Certified by the Bar in their state of practice.
3) Do they routinely handle cases in this system, so they are familiar with procedures, etc.?
4) Check to find out if they have a good reputation among the other attorneys or the general public.
5) Look to see if he/she carries malpractice insurance, just as a safe guard.
6) Take advantage of a free consultation in order to meet and discuss the charges. Determine their “specialty” areas. They are called “specialties” for a reason.
7) Most importantly, make clear the total fee expected, how much do they want up front, and what would the payments be. You certainly do not want to have discrepancies with your lawyer on fees.

Iraq Coalition

13 May, 2010

When it comes to “Iraq Coalition” the term coalition is basically used to talk about the coalition between America and England against the dictatorship of Iraq, under the leadership of Saddam Husain.

The problem began when Iraq strategized to attack Kuwait and annex it. When Saddam Husain attacked Kuwait then it was President Bush (senior) who intervened and sent American troops to save Kuwait. America was successful in driving away the Iraqi Forces but the retreating forces set fire to the oil wells in Kuwait; ever since, Iraq has been black listed by America. Although Sr. Bush could have eliminated Iraq at that point of time however he ordered the withdrawal of the American forces from Iraq.

At a later stage when Saddam Husain indulged in the mass killing of Khurdish people, it came to light that he had been using weapons of mass destruction (WMD) in eliminating anyway who came in his way. Through the UN, inspectors were sent to Iraq for checking the existence of weapons of mass destruction, however nothing was traced. Most of the times, Saddam Husain is reported to have not cooperated with the inspectors. As the suspicion grew, Gorge Bush, the then president of the USA, took a unilateral decision to attack Iraq.

George Bush could not get coalition partners similar to the way that he had got them, during the time when he attacked Afghanistan.
The only coalition partner George Bush got in the invasion of Iraq was Toni Blair, who was at that point of time the Prime Minister of England. Although there were a number of countries which wanted to support America or could have provided military support to the US, some of them were threatened by the terrorists because of whom they did not support America openly. For example, Italy, Spain and South Korea were given threatening by terrorists.

Under the security cover of the United States of America, the Iraqi are running the Iraqi Government and almost every day we hear of a suicide bomber attacking some location in Iraq. So far no sign of peace or democracy coming back to Iraq is in the vicinity.

As it is the Iraqis themselves are divided as Shias and Sunnis and to add to that Iraq’s neighbor Iran supports the Shias in Iraq. The Iranians are responsible for most of the attacks taking place in Iraq. Iran wants to see a Shia-dominated Iraq. Neither there can be a coalition Government by the Iraqis nor there would be any internationally agreeable coalition partners taking part in the affairs of Iraq. Ultimately it will be the United States of America which will have to handle the crisis in Iraq.

By the time the United States of America decides to withdraw its forces from Iraq completely, the Iraqis themselves need to be prepared to take charge of the security and other administrative and political affairs of their own country. Almost every nation would want Iraq to be able to turn itself into a self-sufficient country, however no one knows how soon will Iraq be able to accomplish this task.

Congress Decides To Move Forward Jobless Benefits Deadline

13 May, 2010

US Lawmakers voted April 15 to roll forward the last day for jobless claimants to file for extended unemployment benefits till June 2, a law President Obama immediately signed into law.

This bill will restore federal jobless benefits to over 200,000 jobless Americans who would have been ineligible for them starting April 5.

Before the amendment, federal unemployment benefits, which last up to 73 weeks, commence after 26 weeks of initial coverage expire. Benefits are divided into tiers, and jobless applicants must apply for these benefits each time they move into a new level.

The amendment extends several provisions until the end of May, including: COBRA health insurance; the National Flood Insurance Program and the copyright license for providers of satellite television. More importantly, it will prevent the reduction of 21% in Medicare payment rates for doctors from kicking in until May 31.

Republicans in the Senate have resisted extending unemployment benefits, saying the benefit must be paid for, though this law has enjoyed a lot of bipartisan support.

In the United States, about over 11 million people are receiving unemployment benefits, with about 6 million of them enjoying extended benefits.

Though the US economy is expected to slowly improve, the unemployment rate still remains at 9.7%, and the projected average unemployment period for an unemployed worker in America is 31.2 weeks.

Previously, the government had already passed two short-term extensions of the filing deadline since late December. Furthermore, both House and Senate committees also have passed bills that is pushing back the deadline to file for extended benefits until later in the year, but those measures need to be budgeted.

However, there is a problem.

Currently, of the 50 states, about 33 states and the US Virgin Islands have already used up their jobless benefits funds and are forced to borrow from the State government to the tune of a whopping $38.7 billion to provide a temporary safety net to millions of jobless claimants.

States are going as far as cutting as much extraneous services as they can to keep afloat. From unnecessary entertainment to transport services, these cash-strapped cities are eliminating all kinds of services to save money.

Among all states, California has borrowed the most from the government, summing up to more than $8.4 billion, followed by Michigan and New York, which have loans worth more than $3 billion. Nine other states have borrowed at least $1 billion from the federal government.

“The nation’s financing system for jobless benefits is under unprecedented stress,” said Andrew Stettner, deputy director of the New York-based advocacy group for the unemployed. “While the recession has certainly made things worse, this funding crisis has been developing for years.”

For perspective, before the recession, only 19 states have met the recommended funding level, which is one year of reserves equal to the highest amount of unemployment insurance paid out during prior recessions.

33 United States States Short On Funding Jobless Workers Benefits

13 May, 2010

With unemployment at an all time high of 9% majority of United States federal states have virtually drained their jobless workers benefit funds dry, giving them no choice but to ask the US Federal government for more funds.

Currently, about 33 states and the US Virgin Islands used up their funds to borrow to the tune of a whopping total of $38.7 billion to provide a short term relief to millions of unemployed claimants.

As a result of this, federal states are cost cutting unnecessary services to save money. From entertainment like fireworks to catching stray chickens, these cash-strapped cities are getting rid of all kinds of extraneous services.

Debt-ridden California has borrowed the most, totaling more than $8.4 billion, followed by Michigan and New York, which have loans worth more than $3 billion.

At the onset of the crisis, only 19 federal states met the recommended funding level, amounting to 1 year of reserves equal to the highest amount of unemployment insurance paid out during prior recessions.

Sources assume that states build up their jobless benefit warchest only during strong economic times so that they can draw from these fund during lean times like these.

However, in practice, to fill their meager budgets, local state governments gather funds for unemployment benefits by setting a fixed tax on employers on a small portion of their employee wages. While wages and the requirements for unemployment benefit levels have been skyrocketing, governments haven’t been increasing the taxable base wages at the same pace.

Wrongly, they adopted a “pay as you go” method, taxing low during productive times and ironically raising taxes only when hard times come.

Only 13 states were able to fund jobless benefits without borrowing from the Federal government. Out of that about 10 of them followed the recommended path to finance their warchest.

Here’s how much they’ve borrowed from the federal government.

State Borrowed

California $8.40 billion

Michigan $3.78 billion

New York $3.00 billion

Pennsylvania $2.81 billion

Ohio $2.23 billion

North Carolina $2.14 billion

Illinois $2.06 billion

Texas $2.03 billion

Indiana $1.81 billion

New Jersey $1.55 billion

Florida $1.50 billion

Missouri $687 million

Minnesota $638 million

Connecticut $422 million

Georgia $337 million

Nevada $331 million

Arkansas $318 million

Virginia $317 million

Massachusetts $279 million

Alabama $268 million

Rhode Island $204 million

Colorado $186 million

Idaho $181 million

Maryland $104 million

President Barack Obama: An Icon Of Leadership

13 May, 2010

Barack Hussein Obama II is one of the most admired personalities in the world. He is the present President of the United States of America. Born in August 4th1961, the president’s life is the finest example for aspiring politicians. He is the 44th president of USA and the first African American to manage the office. The president initially served as a junior United States Senator from Illinois, from January 2005. In November 2008, he resigned from this designation after he was elected to the prestigious presidency position.

Barack Obama has a fine record of academia. He has graduated from the Columbia University and Harvard Law School. He was elected the president of the Harvard Law Review and further acquired a doctorate in law. Prior to his degree, he worked as community organizer in Chicago. His working profile as a civil rights attorney in Chicago has also helped him to learn many aspects of the subject. Later Obama worked as a lecturer of constitutional law (1992 to 2004) at the University of Chicago Law School. In addition, he also served three terms in the Illinois Senate from the year 1997 to 2004.

In 2000, Obama was not successful in the first bid seat in the U.S.
House of Representatives. But in the year 2004, he luckily made it to the United States Senate and acquired a great attention with a powerful campaign until his victory in March 2004. He also represented the democratic primary election for the United States Senator from his hometown, Illinois. His extraordinary speech at the Democratic National Convention (July 2004) has shook the world and made him stand amongst the nation’s best. His victory in the U.S. Senate in November 2004 was another milestone in the diary.

Obama won the party’s nominations as a result of a very close campaign (from 2007) against Hillary Rodham Clinton. It was in the year 2008, where Hillary represented Democratic Party. Obama defeated Republican nominee John McCain in the general election (2008) and was elected the 44th president on January 20, 2009. Barack Obama is also the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize laureate.

If you want to know more about his biography, there are many books based upon it. Some of the books that illustrate the life of president include the following:

1. Barack Obama: Son of Promise, Child of Hope

Don’t Mess with Politicians

30 Mar, 2010

After a hard working day we come home, ready to drop from fatigue, and fall hopelessly on your sofa in front of the TV. Mechanically you take the remote controller and check your nine hundred channels for news or something interesting to lift you up. On your favorite channel there is a news sequence and a good-looking woman explains the current situation. There is a strike somewhere in your neighborhood; you could hardly drive through the crowd. They want a wages raise or more suitable conditions or something else. Though your problems have to be the top priority for you, you still think about what is going on in your community. A crowd on the screen disappears and you see a clean-shaved face of some spokesman or politician commenting on the situation. His words are very considerate, carefully chosen and pleasant to hear, though his explanation of the problem is quite contradictory. Against your will you become involved in what he says, you almost believe him and ready to think of those on the streets as idiots, but another picture appears. Angry police tries to make people leave the street. Not as pleasant as the face of a spokesman. You turn the TV off and go to the kitchen to have a break and get your thoughts together. You just had a lesson of politics and obviously its ways are not to your taste.

Now we are quite satisfied with our lives and don’t think about anything else but our profit. Politics or dirty games, if it doesn’t harm you, why should be concerned? We peacefully sit in our rooms, order term paper and play with our children. But this is until elections come about. Then you forget about your custom term paper and go into the anxiety of what is going on. Your head almost explodes because of the amount of information. Every day you see debates and read interesting articles in different sources. You imagine the fortune that was spent on all of this and its meaning makes you forget about your duty in front of your country. As a concerned citizen you care about the leaders and political parties within power in your country. And you behave like a concerned citizen: read articles and brochures, study candidates’ biography and contributions, listen to their plans of campaigns and think: who will be the best. The truth is, none of them will meet your requirements, for not everything you hear is truth.

Power is a strong drug to get addicted to. This can probably be the most truthful statement that you hear during elections. To get power a person is ready to do almost anything to get it. Dirty games and black PR is a common thing. Blackmailing, cheating, overuse of the law happens on every step of the political career ladder. No one knows about dirty facts of one’s life until elections come. Once a politician comes out into a light, his voters can get to know everything about him, including the size of his bedroom. But again this is quite usual. And God prevent you from messing with one of the famous names. You won’t be able to look around when you’ll be left without property, family and hope for the better future. No matter how democratic elections are, you still can be sure that dirty games are involved. If you are still faithful to your leader that is very good, but sooner or later you’ll stop believing in nobility of his/her intentions and if after a series of tries to label your leader you still believe him, you must be a real patriot.
